Meet The Behaviour Team Part 2

[1]"A new Warhammer 40,000® MMORPG is revealed: Montreal, 10th June, 2013 – Behaviour Interactive and Games Workshop® proudly announce a new online game in the Warhammer® 40,000® universe: Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade. Behaviour Interactive has obtained the rights to create a wholly new MMORPG persistent war experience for PC, PS4 and Xbox One set in Games Workshop’s universe of the 41st Millennium. In the game, players choose a Warhammer 40,000® race and fight directly as one of their warriors in massive conflicts for territory. It will be up to each faction’s community to determine their own destiny as they vie for control of an entire planet."

[2]Eternal Crusade is an upcoming MMORPG set in the universe of Games Workshop's Warhammer 40,000, a tabletop miniature wargame, set to be released in late 2015, with an open beta available around the end of 2014 or early 2015. [3]Eternal Crusade will be set in a persistant world named Arkhona, [4]and will have a hybrid business model, allowing for players to play for free, but only as Boyz from the Ork faction. Other players wishing to play the full range of factions and classes in the game may do so by a one-time purchase of the game and without subscriptions. [5]Additionally, the game will support microtransactions as an additional source of revenue. Players looking for early-access to the game and means to support its developers may take part in the Founder's Program, buying Founders Pack that will give access to exclusive content.

[6]The game is also set to be released eventually for PC, PS4 and XBox One, but nothing has been confirmed yet, it’ll depend on the deals with Sony and Microsoft. [7] Multiple separate servers are available per physical region.

[8]Behaviour Interactive seems to be talking with Square Enix, well-known company for the Final Fantasy saga, to be their publisher.

RPG SystemEdit

[9]Like many action games these days, an RPG system affects the otherwise skill-based combat in a variety of ways. For example, in addition to modifying damage and health, the spread on player shots comes from a variety of factors, including what kind of gun players are using, its upgrades, and an accuracy stat from the player's character. When a player swings a melee weapon, the effect on his opponent (in terms of stagger, knockback, etc.) depends on the force value of the weapon, the type of attack, the stance of the player's target, strength stats on his character and stability stats on the player's target. Systems like this can be seen in games like Deus Ex and Dark Souls.

However, since this is a PvP-focused (though not exclusive) MMO, player progression is largely horizontal, meaning that players will unlock new things to equip on their character, but they'll generally have to replace other options and choose how to specialize. This will be similar to the recent equip systems in Call of Duty, War of the Roses, or other mech games.
